Welcome to my first Christmas themed post of the year! Personally, I’ve been feeling festive for a good month now (at least) so I’m glad I can unleash my Christmas spirit properly now. Monday saw the 1st December come around, and what better way to mark the beginning of advent than a stroll around a Christmas market? I was near Sheffield visiting my mum for the weekend so took the opportunity to hit the streets of Sheffield and do just that. Imagine my joy when I wandered over to the peace gardens to discover the Coca Cola truck had made a pit stop for the day!
The experience was amazing. For me, Christmas really begins once I see the Coca Cola advert on TV and hear the classic lines of ‘holidays are coming’. The truck was huge and lit up brilliantly ( I would have loved to see it in the evening but as I had my daughter with me and had to travel back to Nottingham, that wasn’t an option this year). They had a fun and energetic choir keeping the crowds entertained while we were queuing up to have our picture taken, and we’re giving out plenty of free drinks. After we were snapped with the infamous truck, off we headed to look around the Christmas markets. These were just delightful, full of festive little stalls filling the air with delicious scents.
And of course, the day was finished off with a Starbucks red cup! I opted for the Toffee Nut Latte, just can’t get enough of those! Have you been to any festive events yet? Me and my girl are off to a Boots Christmas event tonight so are excited to see what goodies we come away with!
