Although the weather is dragging it’s heels, we are about to enter our beloved British Summertime. Along with the warm rays of sunshine beating down onto my skin, one of the things I am most excited about is moving into my new home. Naturally, I have been busy on Pinterest gathering inspiration for the interiors, but being the beauty addict I am I have a wish list as long as my arm of bits and bobs I would love to see adorning my bathroom shelves. From perfect perfumes to baskets full of bath bombs, here are the things I am seriously considering buying instead of a sofa right now (and I’m not even joking).
L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil
I have been a lover of the Almond range by L’Occitane ever since my mum returned from a trip to France bearing the Milk Concentrate as a gift. If I could, I would have it all, but the one product I have my heart set on is a silky almond oil for skin. The Supple Skin Oil, £36.00, is the lazy girl’s go-to for post-bathing moisture. A quick spritz of this will deliver a hit of hydration to parched limbs within a matter of minutes, and there’s no waiting around for it to sink in. It comes in a spray so is super easy to apply, feels lightweight on the skin and smells heavenly. Plus, the packaging is adorable so perfect for that all important #shelfie.
Laura Mercier Fresh Fig Honey Bath
I have had my eyes on the Honey Bath pots, £33, for as long as I can remember, and feel like they would be the perfect way to christen my new bath. Described as a ‘foaming fig nectar’, you twirl the honey dipper into the product and hold under running water to create a bubble bath fit for a queen. Fig is a scent I cannot get enough of, hence my love affair with Diptyque’s Philosykos perfume, so this fragrance was the natural choice for me. Laura Mercier offer an array of good enough to eat scents in this range, such as Creme Brûlée and Coconut Milk, and I can feel a little collection coming on once I get my hands on this!
Diptyque Baies Candle
I am pretty much addicted to Diptyque candles. In my efforts to attempt to save in order to actually furnish my house, I have had to resort to candles which don’t cost more than my monthly phone bill but oh my goodness, do I miss them. I’ve caught myself on more than one occasion browsing the Diptyque website and filling my basket with £160 worth of candles, because who really needs furniture if your house smells that good, right? So far, I’ve managed to resist the urge, but I think treating myself to just one is not out of the question. My all time favourite scent is Baies, £45.00; there’s just something about those fresh rosey notes sweetened with a hint of blackcurrant that makes me so happy.
All of the Lush Bath Bombs
Is there any point in having a bath if you don’t have an excessive amount of bath bombs at your disposal? I think not. I am currently putting together a little stash, adding to it every time I nip into town. So far, I have the likes of Twilight and Think Pink accompanying me on my move, alongside a fair few Bubble Bars. I’m looking to add Rose Bombshell, Sakura, Sex Bomb and Tisty Tosty to my collection during my next Lush spree. For me, there’s nothing quite like throwing in a bath bomb, lighting a candle and relaxing with my favourite book after a long day. Given that there isn’t a Lush store near my new house, I’m determined to arrive with enough to last me until I settle in and make the trip into Manchester.
Guerlain Pera Granita Eau De Toilette
Guerlain are up there with Diptyque as my favourites in fragrance. I am head over heels with their latest perfume launch, Mon, and currently reach for it on a daily basis. During one of my many browsing sessions at my local counter, I was drawn to the beautiful bottles that contain the Aqua Allegoria range. The delicate yet ornate detailing had me yearning for the entire collection, but it is the Pera Granita scent, £48.50, in particular which has won my heart. Fresh, light and cheerful – it makes for the ideal summer perfume. Base notes of bergamot harmonise with the sweet hint of pear; besides which the pink and gold packaging fits in perfectly with my colour scheme.
